Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInspect and evaluate returned cylinder heads for damage, cracks, and wear using diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments
- check_circlePerform machining operations such as resurfacing, valve seat cutting, valve guide replacement, and porting to restore cylinder heads
- check_circleConduct pressure testing and crack detection procedures to ensure cylinder heads are free of defects and suitable for remanufacturing
- check_circleRebuild cylinder heads by installing new components such as valves, valve seals, guides, and springs
- check_circleCollaborate with production teams to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines
- check_circleStay updated on industry best practices, tools, and techniques related to cylinder head repair and remanufacturing
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedTechnical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred
- verifiedProven experience as a Cylinder Head Technician or similar role
- verifiedExperience with machining equipment including surface grinders, valve grinders, and seat cutters
- verifiedExperience with diesel engine cylinder heads
- verifiedAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engine specifications
- verifiedMust be legally authorized to work in the USA
