Customer Service/Sales

Position Purpose

Customer Service and Sales Associates serve as the frontline of our retail environment, dedicated to delivering fast, friendly, and proactive service. The core mission of this role is to actively engage with customers, assess their unique needs, and guide them through the entire purchasing journey—from initial greeting to final project closure.

In this position, you will become an expert on our product offerings by utilizing our internal tools to provide accurate information. Your goal is to help customers visualize and purchase complete projects, ensuring they leave with the right materials for their needs. Beyond individual department expertise, you will gain a working knowledge of adjacent departments to provide seamless assistance across the store.

Daily Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work involves maintaining the in-stock condition of your assigned areas, ensuring they remain clean, shop-able, and safe. You will work in close cooperation with Department Supervisors and cross-functional teams to support store operations. Depending on your specific assignment, you may focus on areas such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, or Tool Rental.

Safety and Environment

A safe working and shopping environment is a top priority. Associates are responsible for adhering to all safety policies and standards, completing required safety training, and immediately addressing or reporting any hazards. You play a vital role in protecting yourself, your co-workers, vendors, and customers by working safely and maintaining a hazard-free zone.
