Customer Service/Sales

Position Purpose

Customer Service/Sales associates deliver fast, friendly service by actively engaging with customers to assess their needs and provide tailored assistance. In this role, you will learn about products using our internal tools to help customers complete entire projects, rather than just individual items.

You will master the full sales cycle: greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer within your department, while also gaining knowledge of basics in adjacent areas. Beyond sales, you are responsible for maintaining the in-stock condition of your assigned areas, ensuring they remain clean, shop-able, and safe.

Safety is a core priority. You will work to provide a safe environment for yourself, co-workers, vendors, and customers by following all safety policies, completing required training, and immediately addressing or reporting any hazards to the Manager on Duty.

This position involves close cooperation with Department Supervisors and associates across various store departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Depending on specific store needs, the role may focus on Department Sales, Lead Generation, Pro Account Sales, Special Services, or Customer Order Specialist.
