Customer Service Associate - Temporary

About the Role

As a key member of our store team, you will be the face of Walgreens, responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your primary mission is to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression, from the moment you greet a customer to the final exchange of goods. You will serve as the first point of contact, engaging with customers and patients by offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions with courtesy and efficiency.

Day in the Life

Your day involves more than just processing transactions; it is about creating a welcoming environment. You will register sales, handle cash, and process returns or exchanges with accuracy. Beyond the register, you will maintain the store's visual standards by keeping counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and fully stocked. This includes constructing displays, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with policies regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.

You will also play a vital role in store operations by assisting with food safety protocols, such as separating raw and pre-cooked items, and utilizing the first-in, first-out method for stock rotation. The role extends to specialized areas like the photo department, where you will provide digital passport services and promote photo products, as well as managing web pick-up responsibilities to fulfill online orders for customers arriving at the store.

Hiring Process & Application

Candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. While six months of retail experience and prior Walgreens work experience are preferred, we are committed to fair hiring practices.
