About the Role

As a Cashier at Walgreens, you are the face of our brand, responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, engaging with them warmly to offer assistance with products and services. Your role goes beyond processing transactions; you are tasked with resolving customer issues, answering questions, and sharing best practices to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.

Day in the Life

Your day involves providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service at the assigned cash register. You will handle all aspects of the checkout process, including collecting cash, distributing change, and processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Beyond the register, you will actively engage with customers by recommending items, suggesting trade-ups, and assisting with web pick-up responsibilities in the Picture Care Plus system.

You will also maintain the store's visual appeal by keeping counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and properly stocked. This includes constructing displays, completing resets, and ensuring compliance with policies regarding product placement, such as separating raw and pre-cooked food items. Additionally, you may assist with operations in the photo area, offering digital passport services and promotional products, while ensuring the store remains a safe and orderly environment for both customers and coworkers.
