We are a full-time Critical Care Physician team dedicated to patient-first care, focusing on the people of Frederick and nearby areas. Our team is composed of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) working in a modern, 20-bed closed ICU that was completely renovated in the fall of 2022. We work closely with colleagues in other departments, including emergency medicine and hospitalist services managed by Sound, to ensure smooth transitions of care. Many team members are active in committees such as stroke, sepsis, and practice guidelines.
About the Role
You will join an excellent team in a lovely community hospital to transform patient care. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a modern facility where you will primarily care for med/surg patients. The team structure includes one intensivist during the day and one at night, with an APP working alongside the day intensivist Monday through Friday. We offer excellent subspecialty support, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and strong problem-solving in the ICU setting.

Scheduling and Culture
We offer a full-time intensivist opportunity with a block schedule of 12 shifts per month, featuring a mix of days and nights. We collaborate to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.
