We are seeking a Criminal Defense Paralegal — an experienced, highly organized legal professional who can effectively support attorneys in complex criminal defense matters while maintaining professionalism, urgency, and compassion with clients throughout the legal process.
This is not an entry-level legal assistant role, a receptionist position, or a passive file-management job. It is a dynamic position designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced criminal defense environment. You will be the backbone of our trial preparation, managing high-volume caseloads and ensuring that every deadline is met with precision. Your day will involve coordinating hearings, organizing complex discovery and evidence, and communicating directly with clients during stressful situations, all while supporting attorneys in their pursuit of justice.
We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities who can remain calm and detail-oriented under pressure. The ideal candidate possesses a strong sense of urgency and accountability, ensuring that case progression never stalls. You will be expected to communicate professionally with courts, clerks, prosecutors, and law enforcement, while offering compassionate support to clients. Dependability and high responsiveness are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a high-stakes environment.
