The Credit Portfolio Manager I supports Non-Profit and Education Commercial Borrowers within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. This role is part of a dedicated team of underwriters serving the Greater Mid-Atlantic geography. The portfolio includes a diverse range of social benefit organizations, such as social services agencies, cultural institutions, charitable and scientific organizations, membership associations, religious organizations, and schools.
In this position, you will gather financial and business information for customer and prospect loan requests, performing the analyses necessary to make informed credit decisions. You will contribute to the group loan decision process by evaluating credit risk and other key factors, while supporting the commercial banking team by recommending credit solutions that add value to the customer. The role involves managing specific credit activities to ensure performance quality and consistency, often working on larger, more complex deals focused on the Middle Market. You will act as a consultant to business lines regarding credit issues, partner with Lending/Credit Officers to address exceptions, and perform periodic site inspections to ensure adherence to loan agreements.
