This position is based at the Bayport Maintenance site and focuses on the critical upkeep of Port Houston's crane fleet. You will serve as a key technical resource, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to restore equipment to OEM standards. Your work ensures the continuous operation of wharf and RTG cranes, directly supporting the port's operational efficiency.
In this role, you will diagnose and repair complex machinery, including gearboxes, hydraulic systems, brakes, and engines. You will also handle electrical controls, circuits, switches, sensors, and motors. Success in this position requires a blend of hands-on technical skill and the ability to communicate service timelines effectively with Operations and Maintenance groups. You will be expected to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime to meet the dynamic operating requirements of the port.
