As an Electrical Maintenance professional in Schuyler, NE, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our plant operations. You will assist in the design of electrical projects, install electrical equipment, and coordinate efforts with other workers to maintain critical components. Your day will involve consulting with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layouts and resolve system operation issues.
You will work with voltage levels up to 480 and 4160, wire Variable Frequency Drives, and study blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures. A key part of your role is performing scheduled preventive maintenance, inspecting components for defects, and troubleshooting malfunctions using test equipment and software. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment logs, managing spare parts inventory, and advising management on potential hazards. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work extended shifts, respond to breakdowns on nights, weekends, or holidays, and adapt to changing priorities in an indoor and outdoor plant environment.

Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers. Experience using electrical test equipment to perform analysis and troubleshooting. Knowledge of the National Electric Code. Mechanical aptitude to work from all types of blueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings. Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent. A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent.
