As a Courtroom Technology Assistant, you will be the technical backbone of courtroom operations in Androscoggin County. Your primary mission is to ensure that the technology supporting our justice system functions flawlessly, allowing proceedings to be recorded, monitored, and preserved with the highest level of accuracy. You will manage a wide array of equipment, from digital recording systems and interactive video conferencing to assistive listening devices and computer systems.
This role is dynamic and requires extensive interaction with the public, court personnel, judicial officers, and attorneys. You will be responsible for the daily testing, care, maintenance, and inventory of all technology equipment. Your day-to-day activities involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, adjusting microphone levels to ensure optimal recording quality during complex proceedings, and creating detailed logs of court testimony. You will also play a key role in quality control by reviewing recordings and developing procedures to maintain the integrity of court records.
Travel to various courts throughout the state is required as part of this position.

Two years of clerical experience in a Clerk's Office, or comparable work. Experience with technologies used in courtrooms.
