Day in the Life
Your day involves a dynamic mix of customer service and store maintenance. You will ensure customers leave with their items safely bagged, adhering to best practices for various bag types while protecting contents from damage. Beyond the checkout lane, you will assist in removing merchandise from carts, gather and return shopping carts, and handle seasonal merchandise.
You will also play a key role in store operations by performing basic shelf conditioning, returning merchandise to shelves, and conducting price checks for cashiers. Maintaining a pristine environment is essential; you will clean spills, collect trash inside and outside the store, and ensure all areas remain safe and inviting.
Throughout your shift, you will interact with a diverse range of individuals, including minors, older adults, and those with special needs, offering support and assistance with patience and kindness. You will also stay informed about store specials and layout to answer customer questions effectively.
