About the Role
As a Grocery Clerk, you are the face of our store, dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your mission is to establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return again and again. You will play a vital role in helping the department manager reach sales and profit goals while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Day in the Life
You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, helping them discover new items and recommending products that meet their needs. From informing customers about food specials to ensuring the freshness of our produce by checking "sell-by" dates, your attention to detail keeps our shelves stocked and our quality high. You will manage inventory, label merchandise, and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers to adhere to strict food safety regulations.
Beyond the aisles, you will foster a welcoming atmosphere where every customer feels important and appreciated. You will also be a guardian of safety, identifying unsafe conditions, practicing preventive maintenance on equipment, and ensuring all safety programs are followed. Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, you will support your team in delivering the "Customer 1st" strategy.
Hiring Process
