As a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger, you are the final touchpoint for our customers, creating an outstanding experience through exceptional service. Your role is vital in establishing and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that encourages shoppers to return again and again. Day in the Life
Your day begins by ensuring the store environment is pristine, from cleaning spills and collecting trash inside and outside the store to gathering and returning shopping carts to their designated areas. You will assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of their baskets, bagging groceries with care to prevent damage while using various bag types, and offering to help load bags into their vehicles.
Beyond bagging, you will serve as a helpful resource by informing customers of grocery specials, answering product questions, and conducting price checks for cashiers. You will also maintain the store's presentation by performing basic shelf conditioning, returning merchandise to shelves, and handling seasonal merchandise. Safety and compliance are central to your duties; you will adhere to all food safety regulations, reinforce safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, and practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
