This position serves as a vital operational link within the court system, supporting Judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and the public by managing complex legal workflows. Working under moderate supervision, the incumbent ensures the accurate and timely processing of legal documents, records, and case information in strict accordance with established County, State, and Federal statutes.
The role functions as a key liaison between diverse stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, victims, witnesses, and various County departments. Success in this position requires navigating a well-defined framework of policies while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive case data. The court administrator or liaison acts as the face of the court for many interactions, ensuring that inquiries are resolved, discrepancies are managed, and the official record remains precise.
Applicants must meet specific educational and experiential criteria, including graduation from an accredited high school or GED program, combined with four years of job-related experience or 60 college hours. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to operate office equipment, type at a minimum of 35 words per minute, and demonstrate a foundational knowledge of the criminal justice system.
