As a Police Officer, you will serve as the backbone of our community, enforcing laws, protecting life and property, and investigating crimes. Your day-to-day work involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for assistance, and taking appropriate action to control and restrain potentially violent persons. You will investigate suspicious activities, assist other law enforcement agencies with backup, and participate in rescue activities for the sick and injured.
Beyond enforcement, this role requires you to arrest, transport, and book violators, serve warrants, and prepare detailed reports on felony and misdemeanor crimes. You will conduct investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and testify in court as required. A key part of your mission is promoting crime prevention programs at local schools and within the community, fostering strong relationships with residents while upholding the highest standards of integrity and respect.
The City of San Luis is committed to finding the most qualified candidates.
