This is a full-time, career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) position designed for individuals who love protecting their community and keeping the nation safe. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road equipment. Your day-to-day work involves detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, interpreting tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry, and performing surveillance from covert positions. You will be part of a dynamic environment where you can make a tangible difference in securing the border.
Duty assignments are determined at the time of offer based on operational needs and may include prioritized locations along the Southwest Border. Candidates should be prepared for potential relocation. While you may select preferred mission-critical locations during the application process, final assignments align with the agency's current requirements.
