The Corrections Support Specialist serves as a vital assistant to Probation and Parole Officers and Specialists within the Division. This role is integral to the intake and onboarding process for offenders entering supervision. You will act as the primary public-facing representative of the District Office, working directly with offenders to verify reporting status, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with supervision requirements.
Your day will involve coordinating intake appointments, conducting comprehensive examinations of legal documents such as court minutes and sentencing orders, and performing detailed criminal history research. You will also investigate warrant cases, assist with pre-sentence and post-sentence investigations, and manage case files in compliance with strict retention and policy standards. This position supports a 24-hour facility environment and may require shift work.
