The Corrections Oversight Worker serves as a vital link in the food service operations within correctional facilities. In this role, you will supervise inmates to ensure that meal and food items are prepared in accordance with production plans. You will train workers in methods of performing duties, assign and coordinate work to promote operational efficiency, and participate directly in the preparation and serving of meals.
Beyond food production, this position is responsible for the sanitation of the facility and maintaining personal safety by conforming to all standards and regulations. You will ensure that security policies are followed, storage areas are secured, and all kitchen tools and equipment are properly managed. The role requires exercising good judgment and tact while motivating and supervising inmates and team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment.
