This position is dedicated to preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, then weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. The role involves preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists, as well as preparing cold foods.
You will operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. A key part of the role is testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently and monitoring food quality throughout the preparation process. You will also be responsible for setting up and breaking down the work station, serving food in proper portions, and washing and disinfecting the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Additionally, you will check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
