Toledo Tool & Die is adding Controls Engineers to our team to support our continued growth. This full-time position is based in Toledo, Ohio, offering a clean, safe work environment with opportunities for professional development.
The role involves providing operational support as a Controls Engineer, ranging from designing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems to programming PLCs, HMIs, and network devices. You will collaborate with leadership, customers, and vendors to discuss engineering projects, prepare purchase specifications, and ensure new equipment launches meet performance objectives. The position requires investigating customer complaints, applying electrical theory to engineering projects, and maintaining strict safety compliance, including the authority to stop production if unsafe conditions arise.
Hours for this position are typically 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Candidates must be available to work overtime, including daily, weekend, and some holiday shifts, as well as provide emergency and weekend production support.
