About the Role
As a Continuous Miner Operator, you will be the primary operator responsible for extracting coal and ensuring the efficient movement of material to shuttle cars or other haulage equipment. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of operations at the working face, where you will drive the miner into position, determine appropriate locations for installations, and reposition the equipment to create additional cuts as needed.
Safety and compliance are at the core of your daily responsibilities. You will operate the miner in strict adherence to Company Policy, State Laws, and Federal Laws. A key part of your day involves closely observing and listening to equipment operations to detect binding, stoppages, or malfunctions, ensuring that extraction operations run smoothly and safely.
Beyond operation, you are expected to possess the technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and repairs on the miner, keeping the equipment in optimal working condition.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Continuous Miner Operator and hold a current Underground MSHA Experienced Miner Training certification.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an attractive hourly rate of $35.19, with the potential to earn various bonuses based on safety, production metrics, and attendance.
