The Dana Cancer Center Infusion Pharmacy serves patients of all ages, from infants to the geriatric population, within the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. Our mission is to promote the highest levels of health and well-being by delivering precise medication dispensing and expert drug information to medical and nursing staff.
As a Contingent Pharmacist, you will be a vital member of our infusion pharmacy team, responsible for dispensing medications upon receipt of orders and providing critical drug information to healthcare professionals. This role requires a self-directed and motivated individual capable of leading supportive personnel while resolving conflicts and responding appropriately to complaints.
You will work in a dynamic environment that values excellent customer service and culturally appropriate communication. The position involves frequent interaction with the public and other health professionals, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a supportive, respectful atmosphere.
This is a contingent position within the AFSCME HSC bargaining unit. The role is a float position with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. The primary shift runs from 07:30 to 18:00, with on-call responsibilities. The University of Toledo campuses are tobacco-free.
