LCMC Health is a community where our people make health happen. While our New Orleans roots run deep, our branches are the vessels that carry our mission of bringing the best possible care to every person and parish in Louisiana and beyond. We put a little more heart and soul into healthcare along the way. Celebrating authenticity, originality, equity, inclusion, and a welcoming "come on in" attitude is the foundation of our culture of everyday extraordinary.
West Jefferson Medical Center is a cornerstone of LCMC Health's incredible community of care. Regionally recognized and nationally accredited, we have been the hospital-of-choice on the west bank of Jefferson Parish for health, wellness, and family-centered care for over 60 years. We are proud to hold the Leapfrog "Grade A" Hospital Safety distinction.
The Pharmacist Lead is more than a job; it is a vital link in our community's health ecosystem. This role provides immediate supervision of the daily workflow of the pharmacy department, ensuring the operational functioning of the team and the staffing required to meet the needs of patient care areas, ancillary departments, and outpatient clinics within the hospital.
You will be the on-call designee for pharmacy operations, working on-line to supervise and monitor daily activities. Your day involves fostering a culture where healthcare is delivered with heart, where we give people a reason to smile, and where we bring a little "lagniappe" into everything we do. You will oversee the professional development of staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate record-keeping, while assisting leaders in investigating incidents and reviewing controlled substance discrepancies. In this role, you will see opportunities rather than problems, cheerlead ideas and differences, and bring your unique self to work because we love what makes you, you.
To join our team, please take your time to fully and accurately complete the application for employment. Incomplete applications often get bogged down and are eliminated due to missing information. To ensure quality care and service, we may use information on your application to verify your previous employment and background. Please note that applications are inactive after 6 months and require a new submission to remain current. To expedite the hiring process, proof of citizenship or immigration status will be required to verify your lawful right to work in the United States.

The organization serves patients and families across Louisiana, the Gulf Coast, and surrounding regions with a focus on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
