The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is a key contributor to TDS's overall consumer strategy to grow, delight, and retain our customers. As the primary point of contact for consumer customers, you will handle walk-in inquiries at our retail stores and manage inbound calls when the office is quiet. This role is designed for those who take ownership of understanding the features and benefits of all consumer products and services, ensuring customers receive exceptional service while meeting strategic sales goals.
In this position, you will be the face of TDS, engaging with customers to identify their technology needs and offering solutions that provide better value. Whether you are discussing Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, or Internet Content, your goal is to exceed sales targets while maintaining high customer service quality. You will also play a vital role in retention, using negotiation and interpersonal skills to prevent customer churn and resell the benefits of TDS services to those considering disconnecting.

Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks, experience working with detailed data, ability to meet or exceed sales goals, strong negotiation, selling and closing skills, ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment, understanding of the telecommunication industry and products/services, problem-solving skills, successful completion of classroom training, demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment, ability to work overtime with advance notice, ability to work shifts with a potential Saturday rotation, experience working with escalated customer issues and problem resolution both over the phone and face to face.
