The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail is a key contributor to TDS's overall consumer strategy to grow, delight, and retain our customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for consumer customers, handling both walk-in inquiries at our Retail stores and inbound customer calls. You will take ownership of thoroughly understanding the features and benefits of all consumer products and services, ensuring you stay current on pricing, promotions, and the tools used to manage orders and billing.
In this position, you will be the voice of TDS, delivering exceptional customer service while driving revenue. Your day will involve engaging with customers to identify their technology needs, promoting services that fulfill their lifestyle requirements, and utilizing negotiation skills to retain existing customers. Beyond sales, you will manage cash procedures, resolve construction-related issues, and maintain the retail office environment. This role is essential to our motto of growing revenue and achieving sales goals through meaningful connections.

Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks, experience working with detailed data, understanding of the telecommunication industry, understanding of telecommunication products and services, ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment, experience working with escalated customer issues and problem resolution both over the phone and face to face, ability to work overtime with advance notice, ability to work shifts ending at 8:00 p.m. CST and potential Saturday rotation.
