About the Role
The Construction Project Manager serves as a standalone leader for large-scale Engineer Procure Construct (EPC), Construction Management, and Program Management projects, specifically within the transmission and distribution (T+D) sector. Operating from our downtown Lexington office, you will guide projects from pre-construction through completion and warranty periods, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.
This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a hybrid environment. For the first six months, you will split your time between the Lexington office and onsite locations in Louisville, eventually transitioning to a schedule dictated by project needs and client meetings. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, resolving issues, and leading cross-disciplinary teams including engineering, field staff, and subcontractors. The position offers a robust project backlog and repeat work, providing a stable foundation for career growth and advancement into leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDirect the RFP and bid process including scope development, bidder evaluation, and contractor selection
- check_circleManage contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation
- check_circleReview and approve project reports on budgets, cash flow, and status updates to track financial performance
Requirements

Familiarity with commissioning and startup processes for construction projects. Ability to develop and manage project labor agreements and maintain positive relationships with building trades. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced project environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, engineering teams, field staff, and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop interns, coordinators, and early-career professionals. Interest in long-term career growth, with the opportunity to move into roles beyond current degree qualifications or previous titles.
