About the Role
As a Data Center Construction Manager, you will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You will be part of a creative group tasked with solving fascinating problems in constructing Amazon Data Centers, which serve as industry-leading examples of energy-efficient, cost-effective designs.
In this role, you will build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will serve as Amazon's owner's representative on the construction site daily, interacting directly with construction trades. Your mission is to drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction vendors and contractors. You will collaborate with partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that directly support our customers.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- verified5+ years of construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants experience
- verifiedExperience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
- verifiedExperience with power management and power monitoring systems
- verified5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience
- verifiedKnowledge of critical data center equipment
- verifiedKnowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
- verifiedExperience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains
- verifiedCCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification
Nice to Have
5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience. Knowledge of critical data center equipment. Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure. Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains. CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification.
