AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Construction Manager, you will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You will be part of a creative group tasked with solving fascinating problems in constructing Amazon Data Centers, which serve as industry-leading examples of energy-efficient, cost-effective designs.
In this role, you will build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will serve as Amazon's owner's representative on the construction site daily, interacting directly with construction trades. Your mission is to drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction vendors and contractors. You will collaborate with partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that directly support our customers.

You will work alongside an upbeat, creative team of engineers and managers developing innovative data centers on a daily basis.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. The hiring process involves evaluating candidates based on their experience with large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects and their ability to manage complex construction initiatives.

5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience. Knowledge of critical data center equipment. Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure. Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains. CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification.
