The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts protect public health and the environment through innovative and cost-effective wastewater and solid waste management. In doing so, we convert waste into valuable resources such as recycled water, energy, and recycled materials.
The Construction Management section within the Engineering Department is seeking skilled professionals to support the oversight of large-scale sewer, landfill, and treatment plant projects that serve millions of residents. This is a dynamic, field-oriented role where you will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across critical infrastructure.
You will spend a significant portion of your time at active construction sites, observing work in progress and resolving complex engineering challenges in real time. The position requires a seamless transition between office work—handling RFIs, change orders, and claims—and on-site construction oversight. You will coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, often spanning large geographical areas and requiring flexibility for night work or overtime.
We are looking for self-motivated professionals who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on settings. Whether at the Engineering Associate II, III, or Engineer level, you will contribute to impactful projects that support the sustainable development of our communities while collaborating with experienced professionals.
The selection process consists of an interview weighted at 100% for all qualified applicants. The initial review of applications is expected to begin the week of April 20. This posting will remain open until the vacancy is filled and is subject to closure without notice.
How to Apply: Please apply online at governmentjobs.com within the application period. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed LACSD Employment Application or online application. By using the online system, you will receive an email confirmation that your application was received.
