This is a non-traditional legal position within the Business Intake Group, designed for attorneys who thrive in a collaborative, non-billable environment. The core mission of the Conflicts & Risk Management Attorney is to ensure the firm's integrity by accurately and timely analyzing and resolving legal and ethical conflicts of interest.
You will serve as the gatekeeper for new business and lateral hires, evaluating potential matters using internal databases and external research to determine if conflicts exist. When conflicts are identified, you will facilitate their resolution, draft necessary waivers and engagement letters, and construct ethical walls as required. This role is integral to the firm's risk management strategy, requiring you to work closely with the Director of Business Intake, Conflict Specialists, and internal clients to navigate complex regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions.
The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a flexible team where you will learn multiple job functions and assist where needed. There is no billable hour requirement, allowing you to focus entirely on the quality and efficiency of conflict analysis. You will also play a key role in evaluating new technologies for the Business Intake Group and helping to maintain updated procedures to support the firm's operations.
