Our client, a leading entertainment and media law firm, is seeking an experienced Conflicts Analyst/Supervisor to join and help lead its conflicts function. This role exists to ensure the firm maintains the highest ethical standards while managing a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of law firm conflicts experience and strong expertise in analyzing complex conflict reports, applying the Rules of Professional Conduct, and exercising independent judgment to clear matters without routine escalation to the General Counsel.
The position offers a unique opportunity to help modernize and strengthen the firm's conflicts processes. You will manage the firm's end-to-end conflicts process, analyzing complex reports to identify potential risks and independently resolve routine issues. While you will escalate highly complex or novel matters to the Office of the General Counsel as appropriate, the primary focus is on interpreting data to make independent clearance decisions. This role also involves supporting and leading the conflicts team, mentoring members, and driving process improvements within the department.
This search is exclusively targeting professionals with a background in law firm conflicts. Candidates from corporate legal departments or other industries are not a fit. We are looking for individuals from mid-size to large firms with robust conflicts teams who can handle 30-50 conflicts emails daily in a fast-paced environment.
Key Selection Criteria:
Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate their ability to analyze complex reports and make independent decisions. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
