About the Opportunity
CACI is seeking a mid-level Computer Engineer to join a passionate team supporting the Office of Naval Research (ONR) for the Department of Defense. This role leverages best practices in Systems Engineering and Rapid Prototyping to integrate and deliver state-of-the-art capabilities in support of the nation's warfighters.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, develop, and test firmware and embedded C software for microcontrollers and single-board computers
- check_circleDevelop and integrate software for autonomy, control algorithms, and edge computing on robotics platforms
- check_circlePerform hands-on benchtop debugging, code flashing, and software-to-hardware integration to build functional prototypes
- check_circleValidate hardware integration performance using approved industry and site-specific construction codes and policies
- check_circleCoordinate prototype and low-rate installation or production with external parties tasked with producing units
- check_circleTravel to CONUS locations to support live test events, provide on-site technical support, and collect data
- check_circlePrepare and deliver Level 2 Technical Data Packages for projects reaching prototype or low-rate production stages
- check_circlePurchase materials as needed to support prototype and low-rate production for assigned projects
- check_circleCreate and maintain briefs, installation plans, drawings, and test plans for prototype devices
Requirements
- verifiedA-BET accredited Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering or similar discipline
- verifiedMinimum 3 years of engineering experience
- verifiedEligibility for SECRET clearance
- verifiedProficiency in CAD software
- verifiedKnowledge of simulation and analysis tools
Nice to Have
5-10 years of Computer Engineering experience or other related technical field; existing experience producing civil systems and/or prototypes for projects on IAC MAC task orders; experience in a civil engineering position working with IAC MAC customers; experience in DoD customer relations and civil engineering; active minimum Secret clearance.
