About the Role

Our Senior Embedded Software Engineer is a technical position within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. You will architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet the needs of current and next-generation autonomous avionics systems.

Working with a cross-discipline team, you will partner with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and Management using Lean and/or Agile practices. Your focus will be on ensuring embedded software is designed and developed to reliably operate toward intended functions, with a strong emphasis on hardware operation, time-critical functions, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety. You will also have the opportunity to teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff while contributing to proposals and design reviews.

Hiring Process and Application

Please note that this position requires a U.S. government-issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active and transferable Secret clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to your start date. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
