This position serves as a vital link in our procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The role exists to maintain optimal inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and drive process improvements that support the company's operational goals.
In this capacity, you will act as the primary point of contact for purchase requisitions, generating and processing purchase orders based on consumption patterns, demand forecasts, and client requests. Your day-to-day involves monitoring delivery timelines, maintaining constant communication with suppliers, and proactively updating the system with accurate dates. You will analyze inventory levels and back orders to determine restocking needs, while also evaluating supplier performance regarding pricing, delivery, and quality.
Beyond transactional duties, you will conduct cost analyses, including the calculation of final "landed costs," and prepare detailed inventory and purchasing reports for management. The role requires a high degree of coordination, as you will facilitate effective communication between departments and support administrative tasks such as digital filing and email correspondence. You will also handle claims for defective products, ensuring timely replacements or credits are secured.
