WR Systems is seeking a Component Level Repair Technician to support critical projects in Norfolk, VA. In this position, you will be the frontline expert for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic equipment and systems at the component level. Your work ensures that complex electronic units meet rigorous quality standards and are ready for deployment.
You will collaborate closely with Electronics Engineers to resolve technical challenges, clarify design details, and optimize functional criteria. The role involves a hands-on approach to populating printed circuit boards with through-hole and SMT components, performing qualification and acceptance testing using automated systems, and evaluating system performance under actual operating conditions. You will also recommend circuitry changes to simplify assembly and maintenance, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our production and integration workflows.
Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. The hiring process includes a pre-employment third-party background check, which may verify employment history, education, certifications, criminal history, and driving records to ensure suitability for the position.

U.S. Navy Miniature/Micro-Miniature Certification (NEC 1591, 9526, 9527) and/or IPC J-STD-001 Certification (Modules 1-6). Completion of U.S. Navy Electronic Technician or equivalent 'A' school and 'C' school.
