The Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead serves as the strategic architect for our review ecosystem, overseeing a comprehensive program that spans case management, provider payment processing, customer service, and supporting controls. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity of our operations, particularly within the context of public programs such as the Child Care Scholarship and Maryland public sector initiatives.
In this position, you will not only design and lead the QA and compliance review program but also drive a culture of continuous improvement. Your day-to-day involves establishing robust QA plans, defining review standards, and creating scorecards that set the bar for excellence. You will lead sample and secondary reviews, conduct deep-dive trend analyses, and formulate corrective-action plans to address systemic issues. By monitoring SLA-related quality trends, you will identify patterns that impact timeliness and accuracy, ensuring our services remain responsive and reliable.
A key aspect of this role is collaboration. You will act as the bridge between operations, training, program integrity, and reporting teams, coordinating findings to foster organizational learning. You will also be the primary point of contact for audit readiness, managing record reviews and compliance evidence requests to ensure we are always prepared for internal and State scrutiny. Your insights will culminate in monthly QA and compliance reports that inform leadership decisions and satisfy regulatory requirements.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in administrative, quality, audit, or compliance functions. The ideal candidate brings at least six years of relevant experience, including direct leadership responsibility for a QA or control function. Experience specifically within regulated public programs, such as the Child Care Scholarship or Maryland public sector environments, is highly valued.
You will thrive in this role if you have a proven track record of designing review criteria, conducting root-cause analysis, and developing targeted training responses. Familiarity with federal and State regulations in benefits or education environments is essential. Prior experience as a quality or compliance leader, program auditor, or operations-control manager within MSDE or similar scholarship and benefits settings will be a significant asset.
To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience with public program operations, case review, and provider payment integrity. Highlight specific examples of how you have led QA programs, supported audits, or developed quality dashboards in regulated environments.
