Rafiki Coalition for Health and Wellness is a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to eliminating health inequities and improving the lives of Black, African American, and marginalized communities in the Bay Area. For over 35 years, we have provided a safe, welcoming space where health, healing, and hope come together.

We offer a holistic range of services, including free and low-cost health screenings, HIV prevention and care, mental health counseling, housing and economic support, fitness classes, and nutrition programs. About the Role

The Community Events Program Assistant is a vital link between Rafiki Coalition and the communities we serve. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of community outreach and engagement activities, playing a key part in our community-based health initiatives including HIV testing and prevention, harm reduction services, and behavioral health outreach.

In this position, you will help increase access to services, reduce barriers to care, and build trust within the communities we serve. You will be the welcoming face of our events, ensuring that every participant experiences a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment. Whether you are coordinating logistics for a wellness fair, managing registration for an HIV testing day, or connecting community members to vital resources, your work directly empowers individuals and strengthens our collective health.
