As a Community Development Associate (CDA) in Newark, NJ, you will serve as the vital link between Grameen America and the local community. This entry-level position is designed for a strong leader who thrives on building relationships and fostering growth. Your primary mission is to increase the branch's membership base through active community outreach while maintaining the trust and engagement of existing members.
In this role, you will lead and manage all member-oriented meetings, facilitating loan disbursements, repayments, and verifications. You will navigate various technology platforms to manage data entry and ensure accurate records. The day-to-day rhythm involves organizing community events to attract new entrepreneurs, facilitating weekly group meetings and trainings, and providing personalized support to help members navigate financial challenges. Success in this role requires a professional demeanor, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask within a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekend events to accommodate member availability.
