About the Role
GovCIO is seeking a Communications Systems Specialist based in San Antonio, TX, to analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions for future communications and operational challenges across various satellite systems. This is an onsite position dedicated to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of critical telecommunications infrastructure.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise and training for all communications equipment and components. Your day-to-day responsibilities include installing, configuring, terminating, and testing telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces. You will perform intricate alignment and calibration procedures to maintain optimal system performance and manage inventory for media production equipment and fixed installations at company and client sites. As a technical specialist, you will troubleshoot complex network problems, monitor telecommunication network operations, and provide field reporting as required. The position may also involve supervising communications technicians and outside contractors providing technical support.
