The Communications Specialist serves as a vital partner in advancing the St. Louis Housing Authority's (SLHA) reputation and strategic goals. This role is designed for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, bridging the gap between the agency's mission and the community it serves. You will be the voice of SLHA, crafting high-quality content across digital, video, audio, and print platforms to tell the stories of resident success and program impact.
In this position, you will manage the agency's brand identity, ensuring all communications align with SLHA's CORE Values. Your day-to-day involves acting as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, drafting press materials for local and national outlets, and executing community outreach initiatives. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive awareness of key initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of ethical communication and public records compliance.
You will join a dedicated team committed to transparency and community engagement. As the Communications Specialist, you will work directly with stakeholders ranging from residents and community leaders to media members and internal departments. Your work ensures that the Authority's narrative is consistent, accurate, and impactful, helping to foster trust and understanding within the St. Louis community.
