For over 75 years, Laradon has been a leader in advocacy, education, and support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We foster a collaborative, team environment where staff work extremely hard to support the well-being of the individuals we serve. If you genuinely care about providing youth and adults with a sense of direction and hope, you will find huge satisfaction in carrying our legacy forward. Your influence here extends beyond our organization to impact the community as a whole.
We are seeking a creative, community-minded, and energetic intern for Summer 2026 (May–August) to join our team on-site in Denver, CO. This dual-focus position offers hands-on experience in both Nonprofit Communications and Volunteer Management. You will not just be observing; you will serve as the voice of our mission, helping us tell the stories of the individuals we serve and building the volunteer force that makes our work possible.
In this role, you will support the growth of our volunteer program through recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling, while assisting with day-of logistics for groups and events. You will also partner with our Communications Coordinator to create unique content for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and monthly blog posts, including interviews and photography. Additionally, you will help design and execute marketing materials and a Disability Pride Month Campaign to celebrate our community.
To apply, please submit your resume along with a portfolio or links to social media content you have created. Candidates must be able to receive school credit for the internship. Selected candidates will work flexible day shift hours and days during the summer term, with occasional travel required to client employment locations.
