The Merchandising Manager serves as a strategic process leader responsible for the development, integration, and execution of point-of-purchase (POP) merchandising programs, retail advertising initiatives, planogram standards, and trade show operations. This role exists to support global sales and business objectives by ensuring flawless coordination across complex, fast-paced initiatives.
As a process leader without direct reports, you will be the central point of coordination across Retail Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Packaging, Creative, and Manufacturing teams. Your day-to-day involves managing a large pipeline of retailer-exclusive packaging and item changes, translating retailer needs into clear briefs, and guiding artwork development through final print readiness. You will ensure that all deliverables meet brand, cost, and timeline standards while maintaining structured project management tools to track milestones and prevent bottlenecks.
Success in this role requires exceptional time management, high accuracy standards, and proactive vendor and stakeholder management. You will work closely with international partners, including teams in China, to confirm timelines, proof accuracy, and ensure alignment across time zones. The role demands a disciplined approach to version control and change management to avoid last-minute surprises in production.
Candidates selected for this role will be evaluated on their ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, their understanding of 3-dimensional merchandising, and their proficiency in tools like Blue Yonder Space Planning software. The position reports to the VP of Retail Marketing.
