This position serves as a vital bridge between complex health science and the communities we serve. As a Content Developer & Strategist, you will partner closely with the design team to translate intricate maternal health topics into clear, engaging, and culturally relevant communications. Your work will span a variety of platforms, from websites and newsletters to social media and print materials, ensuring that our message resonates with diverse audiences.
You will be a key contributor to the Maternal Health Task Force, supporting communication planning and outreach efforts that enhance visibility and impact statewide. The role requires a unique blend of storytelling and strategic thinking, as you collaborate with subject matter experts, clinical teams, and community partners to design materials that are not only visually compelling but also accessible to all.
Your day will likely involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop campaign concepts and educational projects. You will take ownership of the monthly newsletter production using My Emma, analyzing engagement metrics to refine future content. Additionally, you will prepare quarterly reports that measure communications performance and recommend strategic improvements. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to ensuring all program documents meet strict accessibility standards, including ADA requirements, WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines, and Revised Section 508. While prior experience is beneficial, you will receive the necessary training to achieve proficiency in these standards as part of your ongoing duties.
Candidates are invited to submit a portfolio that includes both writing samples and graphic design work. Please ensure your application includes bylined links or writing samples that demonstrate your storytelling abilities. The selection process will focus on your ability to manage multiple projects remotely, your flexibility in a shifting priority environment, and your demonstrated cultural competency in health communications.
