Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInstall, configure, align, test, and troubleshoot VHF and UHF radios and communication systems
- check_circleSetup and support Radio Control Equipment (RCE) and integrate Telco requirements
- check_circleInstall and test grounding systems and implement surge protection measures
- check_circleRead and interpret engineering diagrams, blueprints, and electrical wiring schematics
- check_circleInterface with FAA Air Traffic and Technical Operations personnel during installations
- check_circlePerform baseline electronic readings and generate required FAA documentation including FRDF
- check_circleCoordinate frequency outages and provide guidance to installation and construction crews
- check_circleMount and install antennas, run coaxial cables, and terminate communication cabling
Requirements

- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedAbility to obtain federal security clearance
- verifiedAssociate's Degree or two-year technical training/certification plus 2 years relevant experience
- verifiedExperience installing/maintaining VHF and UHF ground-to-air communication equipment
- verifiedFamiliarity with FAA NAS communications systems
- verifiedAbility to read schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
- verifiedAbility to generate FAA documentation including FRDF
- verifiedSetup capability for Radio Control Equipment (RCE)
- verifiedUnderstanding of Telco requirements including Commercial Telco, RCL, Field Cable, and Fiber Optics
Nice to Have
Experience with Spectrum Analyzer, Time-Domain Reflectometer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Microwave systems, Voice Switch systems, and Air Traffic Control systems. Commercial Driver's License and trailer experience. Experience operating heavy equipment.
