About the Role
The Commodity Buyer plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by sourcing and managing essential commodity materials, with a specialized focus on metals such as aluminum, titanium, and steel. This position is designed to ensure the seamless flow of materials across multiple projects and business units by balancing cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.\n In this capacity, the buyer will execute sourcing strategies, manage purchase orders, and negotiate pricing and lead times. The role involves analyzing sourcing data to track market trends and optimize supplier selection, while simultaneously managing supplier relationships, contracts, and issue resolution. A key component of the day-to-day work includes driving continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost reduction, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
