About the Role
We are seeking a Commodity Buyer to join our South Bay team. This role is pivotal in supporting our manufacturing operations by sourcing and managing essential commodity materials, with a specialized focus on metals such as aluminum, titanium, and steel. The position exists to ensure the seamless flow of materials by balancing cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance across diverse projects and business units.
In this capacity, you will act as a strategic partner to the manufacturing floor, executing sourcing strategies and managing the full lifecycle of supplier relationships. From negotiating pricing and lead times to analyzing market trends and optimizing supplier selection, your work directly impacts the efficiency and continuity of our production lines. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing data to track KPIs such as cost reduction, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
