About the Role

This is a high-velocity sales position designed for a hunter who thrives in a competitive, goal-oriented environment. You will be responsible for prospecting and winning net new small to medium business customers within a defined territory, specifically supporting the Washington, DC and Richmond, VA regions. While this is a remote position, you will live within or adjacent to this region to facilitate face-to-face engagement when necessary.

In this role, you will leverage a prioritized call list to drive prospect engagement through a mix of phone, video, and in-person interactions. Your day-to-day involves discovering incremental and programmatic needs, communicating Staples' value propositions, and utilizing professional selling skills to overcome objections and close deals. Beyond the initial sale, you will ramp and onboard new accounts, working closely with customer support, setup teams, and category specialists to ensure compliance and drive long-term retention. You will create "sticky" accounts that continue to purchase from Staples by integrating prospect feedback into your sales approach and standardizing product selections.
