Every day, our team members do amazing things in pursuit of our shared purpose to build trust with our clients, partners, subcontractors, and teammates. No matter your background, education, or career path, if you share our vision to create extraordinary experiences, you belong at HITT. We value a respectful, inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
The Assistant Superintendent supports managing workflow consistent with the project schedule, communicating project priorities to field staff and subcontractors, and maintaining a daily log of all activities and site conditions. This role is pivotal in managing the punch list and closeout process through owner and architect acceptance.
You will assist in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the building aspects of each project to meet budget, quality, time, and safety objectives. A key part of your day involves working with the Project Manager to formulate schedules, ensuring proper methods and sequences of installation are followed, and making and following through on schedule commitments. You will also maintain HITT quality standards, develop relationships within the community to enhance business opportunities, and ensure subcontractors are treated fairly.
In this fast-paced environment, you will ensure complete and accurate daily documentation of work orders, understand subcontractor scopes of work to avoid unnecessary change orders, and identify problems early to provide immediate solutions. You will also be responsible for developing and organizing the site team, arranging temporary facilities and utilities, and identifying long-lead items that need to be expedited.
The Assistant Superintendent understands and administers the HITT safety program to include all subcontractors, ensuring that all accidents and incidents are promptly reported and investigated. You will assist in safety inspections by outside agencies and demonstrate integrity consistently with The HITT Way and HITT's core values.
