Santa Fe South Charter School District stands as the largest brick-and-mortar charter district in Oklahoma, comprising two high schools: Santa Fe South (5A) and Pathways Middle College (3A). About the Role
As the Middle School Head Girls Basketball Coach, you will serve as a vital link in our athletic development pipeline. This position is responsible for the leadership and supervision of our middle school program, ensuring a seamless transition for students moving into our OSSAA high school program. You will guide young athletes in developing their skills, sportsmanship, and academic eligibility while maintaining the highest standards of the district.
In this part-time capacity, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including planning practices, scheduling, and travel. A significant portion of your role involves building community; you will engage with parents, alumni, and community members to grow attendance and support the program. You will also act as a positive role model, directly supervising student-athletes and assistant coaches while ensuring all activities align with SFS Employee Handbook policies, OSSAA, and NFHS regulations.
Note: This is a part-time position subject to annual renewal. While teaching and support positions are available within the district, employment in this coaching role does not guarantee a full-time position.
Hiring Process
Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to OSSAA and NFHS rules. The selection process requires completion of all mandatory training mandated by the OSSAA, NFHS, and Santa Fe South Schools. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain Rank One status, manage rosters, and adhere to strict communication protocols with teachers and administrators.
