About the Division
The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for faculty positions as clinician-educators and/or research faculty. The successful candidate will join an internationally renowned academic health center dedicated to discovering, teaching, and applying knowledge for the benefit of Birmingham, the state, and beyond.

About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary research group or to provide outstanding patient care while training the next generation of medical professionals.
For clinician-educator roles, the focus is on delivering exceptional care to patients while actively mentoring fellows, residents, and students. Research faculty positions are designed for those with demonstrable expertise in cell and/or molecular biology or the use of animal models relevant to lung biology. Successful research candidates will maintain extramural grant funding while working within a vibrant, collaborative research ecosystem. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
